ANthropocene

graduation collection

ANtropoceno, is a fashion collection that was born as an invitation to the industry and to creatives  to incorporate new processes within those that already exist and begin, not only to be "sustainable" but to create with a proposal to make constant and active change in the environment. Having sustainable processes is something that as creatives we must consider mandatory and take it as the standard of what we should have within our processes. Bearing this in mind through this collection, I want to propose being able to create garments that become an active element within a chain of change, that is, that they are something more than garments. As an instrument so that when used it has a system that positively impacts the environment.

The conversation begins from introspection and reflection on the role we play within the Anthropocene. Being our reality of how it is that we have been the cause of global warming and how we have been letting ourselves be carried away by selfishness and the constant search to have more, in less time and regardless of what or who we harm.

I want to take ants as an example, which, in my opinion, are a species from which we have many things to learn and which I consider to be underestimated.

One of the concepts that I want to take up again from them is "giving everything for the anthill" making it extremely vital to work with, in and for the community, seeking  that the processes become an exchange (whether of knowledge, physical, etc.) in order to grow together, solidifying/establishing relationships to gradually initiate a change in our mentality.
