NONNINA
Collection of flat strokes
Nonnina is a manifestation of what this disease symbolizes, which takes the finishes of each garment as a poetic element. The confused and unusual silhouette is extracted from brain scans where deterioration can be seen. This collection not only talks about the disease itself, but also about the fear I have of having to go through each of these steps in the future.
This project has been one of my favorites, since, in my family, it has been a taboo to talk, to a certain extent, about this disease. Making Nonnina a channel of liberation from my own fears and Feelings about Alzheimer's. Filling me with information and a creative space to be able to reach a little peace and acceptance. Although this project has remained a collection of flat lines, it showed me that I can design in a more conceptual way and not so much functional. I honestly believe that it was a real success.
