PINTA
Screen Printing Graphics Series
Collection inspired by the Triqui community, specifically their belief that pregnant women cannot dye, otherwise their babies will be born with spots on their bodies.
This series of graphics takes up the connection or link within nature with humans. Starting from the Triqui belief, leading me to reflect on how we are the fruits of nature and how we can also be the roots of new beliefs and thoughts.
Pinta, is a collection that takes up the union and link with nature, making reference not only to the Triquis, but also the personal bond I feel with it. We as humans come from there and we tend to forget that this is where we end up, seeing ourselves as individuals instead of a whole. The result, despite being literal, I consider that it continues to be a start for reflection, fulfilling my purpose so as not to be a superficial and backgroundless project.
The graphics, despite the fact that they are designed to have colors, work perfectly in black and white. Potentializing its use. One of the things that stands out, in my opinion, is the poetic within the literal.
Despite being images that could be strange, they speak of something natural, beautiful and how throughout my work I capture the synergy cwith the living, that is, the natural or human world.
